Will Mini work at every campsite?
No. Sky obstruction, service availability, your setup and network conditions matter. Check actual placement using Starlink's app. Keep an appropriate separate emergency communication plan.
Do I need the largest plan?
Match the plan to your tasks and data use. Calls, work and video have different demands. Starlink confirms current options and the terms applying to your order.
Can I pause between trips?
The current AU Roam page describes Standby Mode with a monthly fee and billing in one-month increments. Check your applicable plan terms. Don't assume unused periods or a short weekend are free or prorated.
What about driving or overseas travel?
This fit check covers stationary Australian camp use. In-motion use, overseas use, mounting and plan permissions need separate checks. A positive result here does not approve those uses.

Mini is approximately 29.85 × 25.9 cm, with an integrated router. Starlink gives an average consumption planning range of 25–40 W and a 12–48 V, 60 W input rating. Its USB-C cable accessory requires 100 W USB PD at 20 V / 5 A.
Runtime estimate = usable Wh ÷ (Mini W / conversion efficiency + other battery-side W). Usable Wh = battery Wh × (starting charge − retained reserve) / 100. The shorter estimate uses 40 W. Real conditions vary; a numerical pass is not certification.
