This policy describes the data practices of the Seekstead website. Last updated September 2026.

Information you provide

If you contact Seekstead by email, we receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address, name and message content. We use it to read and respond to your enquiry.

Website infrastructure

Seekstead is delivered using Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may process technical information required to deliver, secure and operate web requests.

Cookies and analytics

Seekstead uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive (for example from a search engine), how far pages are read, and when links to other websites, including merchant and referral links, are clicked. We use this to see which guides are useful and to improve them.

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) that hold a random identifier, and records information such as your approximate location (city or country), device, browser and the pages you view. It does not give us your name or contact details, and Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. Google signals and advertising personalisation are turned off for Seekstead, so this measurement is not used for advertising or cross-device tracking.

This information is processed and stored by Google, including on servers outside Australia, and is kept for 14 months. Google describes its use of this information in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies are not set unless you agree. Seekstead does not currently ask, so they are not set for those visitors.

You can stop Google Analytics collecting information about your visits by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

External links

Seekstead may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Third parties, including Amazon, may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, to collect information in connection with links to their websites, for example so that Amazon can credit Seekstead with a referral when you follow a link to Amazon Australia. Amazon handles that information under its own privacy notice. The reports Seekstead receives from Amazon do not include your name, contact details or payment details.
