Roam can move to Standby mode when you need less service. Compare that fee and the timing of reactivation with your travel calendar. Pausing is not the same as keeping full-speed service for free.

A registered home address points toward Residential. Travel points toward Roam. If you want both, compare the full home-and-travel combination instead of assuming a single subscription does both jobs.
What would make the change worthwhile?
More reliable working time, easier evenings or useful connection away from mobile coverage may matter to you. If your current service already does the job well, there may be no worthwhile reason to switch.

What will I pay to get started?
Your chosen kit, available hardware offer, shipping and any mounting or installation needs can affect the upfront cost. Starlink advertises no upfront hardware cost for some Residential locations and selected-area Roam hardware offers. Neither is universal. Check the actual order before committing; we have not invented an all-in total.
When does service billing start, and can I change later?
The Residential 100/200 Critical Information Summary says billing begins on activation or 30 days after shipping, whichever comes first. It lists a one-month minimum term, no early termination fee and non-refundable prepaid monthly fees. Plan changes depend on availability and may start immediately or next billing cycle. Confirm the terms attached to your chosen offer.
How does the referral benefit work?
Eligible new customers who purchase directly through our link may receive one month of service credit in month two. Pay month one, activate and stay subscribed for at least two months. Returning customers, retail/reseller purchases and transferred kits are excluded. Starlink confirms eligibility; Seekstead may also benefit. Can the dish see enough clear sky?
Obstructions and installation conditions affect performance. Use the Starlink app to assess a suitable location, and consider mounting and cable needs before committing. A higher plan cannot fix a blocked view of the sky.
Have you allowed for power and setup?
The kit needs suitable power and correct installation. For travel, confirm the kit, supply and mounting arrangement suit the way you will use it. A service plan by itself does not solve a power or installation constraint.
Is a different connection already enough?
If your existing fixed or mobile service reliably meets your needs at a better overall value, keeping it can be the right choice. Starlink becomes more compelling when it solves a real gap in where or how you connect.
