THE QUICK VERDICT
From Kings’ official specifications (4WD Supacentre), as detailed on this page.
WHY IT
Kings’ Escape 40 portable fridge freezer, sold here with the Kings cover made for it.
Kings lists 36.3 L inside, room for 56 cans, at 587 × 365 × 438 mm outside and 12.95 kg.
Set it anywhere from +20°C down to −20°C on the digital display. It runs from 12V or 24V with the included cigarette socket cord, or 240V with an optional adapter.
Kings gives an average draw of 1.0 to 1.3 A with the fridge at 3°C in 32°C heat, and a 60W maximum.

POWERING IT
On Kings’ 1.0 to 1.3 A average, a 100Ah lithium battery (80% used, no solar) runs it for about 2 days 14 hours to 3 days 8 hours. Hot days and opening the lid shorten this.
Pick one of three cut-off settings (low, medium, high) and it switches off before your battery runs too low.
Kings says E1 is usually the power reaching the fridge, not the fridge: check the battery is charged, check the wiring and fuse, then try the lowest cut-off setting.
The Kings cover is made for the Escape 40. Kings says its insulation keeps heat out and cold in, so the fridge runs more efficiently, and mesh panels keep all three vents clear.
